Any permit issued pursuant to this chapter may be suspended or revoked by the town council if the council determines by a preponderance of the evidence, after a hearing, that in connection with the submission of the permit application the applicant committed fraud, made a misrepresentation of a material fact or knowingly made a false statement. The applicant shall be given not less than seventy two (72) hours' prior notice of such hearing, and shall have the right to appear and be heard on all relevant matters prior to the council taking action to suspend or revoke the permit.
