An applicant shall pay to the town clerk a nonrefundable application fee when the application is filed. The purpose of the fee is to cover the town's cost of administration of this chapter, licensee education, inspections of licensed premises, regular compliance checks, documentation of violations (database management), and prosecutions of violations of licenses. The amount of the application fee and the annual license renewal fee shall be fixed by the town council as part of its annual budget process. Once paid, an application fee is nonrefundable except as may be required by law. (Ord. 12, Series 2022)
