This chapter is adopted by the town council pursuant to the following authority: a) section 31-15-103, Colorado Revised Statutes, concerning the power of municipalities to make ordinances which are necessary and proper to provide for the safety and preserve the public health; b) section 31-15-401(1)(a), Colorado Revised Statutes, concerning the power of municipalities to pass and enforce all necessary police ordinances; c) section 31-15-401(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, concerning the power of municipalities to declare what is a nuisance, to abate the same, and to impose fines upon parties who may create or continue nuisances or suffer nuisances to exist; d) the authority granted to home rule municipalities by article XX of the Colorado constitution; and e) the powers contained in the Breckenridge town charter.
