The purpose of this chapter shall be to require the licensing and regulation of business activities, occupations and enterprises conducted within the town and provide the town with necessary information relating to businesses and professions operating within the town in order to protect the health, welfare and safety of its inhabitants, and to generate and raise additional revenues for the town for the purpose of marketing and promoting the town and its environs as a year round resort, to promote and market activities and events beneficial to the economic vitality of the community.
