The town attorney shall be the legal advisor to the Board. In the event that it would be a conflict of interest for the town attorney to both present evidence to the Board on any matter and to advise the Board as to such matter, the town attorney shall continue to advise the Board on the matter and shall engage independent counsel to present the evidence.
