A. Effective January 1, 2009, each member of the Planning Commission shall receive compensation for serving on the commission at the rate of four thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800.00) annually, payable at the rate of four hundred dollars ($400.00) per month. The annual salary of the members of the Planning Commission may be increased or decreased at any time by ordinance duly adopted by the town council without regard for the term of appointment of such members. B. Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection A of this section, the town council member who serves on the Planning Commission shall only receive the compensation provided by section 1-7-1 of this Code, and shall not receive the additional compensation provided by subsection A of this section. (Ord. 19, Series 2011)

C. One twenty-fourth (1/24) of the above mentioned salary may be deducted for the failure of any member of the commission to attend any regular meeting of the commission. The decision to make such deduction shall be made by majority vote of the Council. (Ord. 35, Series 1992)
