Permit holders shall be required to contact the town engineer for inspections per the engineering design standards and construction specifications and the permit requirements. The town engineer may temporarily halt or revoke active permits if an inspection is not obtained by the permit holder or if the inspection is not passed. The town engineer may require work to be repaired, removed, replaced, or modified if it is not satisfactory and then reinspected. The town engineer may also assess fines, penalties, or financial compensation for work that is not satisfactory or for improvements that are completed without the required inspections being obtained from the town engineer.
