10-2-4-1: RETAINING WALLS:
This section is included in your selections.
The maximum slope of unretained finished grades shall be 2H:1V. Slopes with proposed grading that will result in grades steeper than 2H:1V will require retaining walls. All retaining walls taller than 4 feet (measured from finished grade at bottom of wall to top of wall) shall be engineered. Engineered walls require the following from a professional engineer licensed in the State of Colorado:
A. Detailed plan by Colorado professional engineer showing retaining wall details and stamped.
B. Inspections during construction certifying all aspects of retaining wall construction meet plan requirements and good engineering practices.
C. Final certification of the retaining wall construction by Colorado professional engineer. (Ord. 3, Series 2022)
