Any action brought against the town pursuant to this chapter shall be commenced within the time period provided for employment discrimination claims in articles 80 and 81 of title 13, Colorado Revised Statutes, relating to limitations of action, or it shall be forever barred; except that if compliance with the provisions of section 1-20-5 of this chapter would otherwise result in the barring of an action, such time period shall be extended by the time period required for compliance with the provisions of section 1-20-5 of this chapter.
