Any lease executed by the town manager pursuant to the authority granted by section 1-11-3 of this chapter may be amended administratively by the town manager so long as the term of the lease is not extended beyond the one year period described in section 1-11-3 of this chapter. Any lease approved and authorized by the town council pursuant to section 1-11-4 of this chapter may be amended administratively by the town manager; provided, however, that neither the term of the lease nor the rental to be paid or received by the town under the lease may be amended except by ordinance duly adopted by the town council.
